    3. Jessica, Some of the other records that Teresa referred to are found in The Orphans Court record books in Huntingdon County. I didn't know about them the first time I was there and found out about them from someone in my family line who got some info there. The dispersals of moneys for paying bills and the heirs are found there, so it's very valuable.... Patti descended from Lee, Magee, McMath in Huntingdon County

    3. > > The Orphans Court Dockets have Indexes that are in the Register's and Recorder's Office. From the Index, one would find the Docket (An Alphabet letter such as F with the years that Docket covers) , Year of the Document, Document # and the page #. The actual Docket books are in the Record's Room in the basement of the Court House. It is not uncommon to find a series of OC Documents concerning an Estate. Documents concerning an Estate not settled within the span of years of the Docket will be recorded in the next Docket. I found one Estate that was still unsettled and docket entries were being made 50 years after the death. The dispersals of the monies and goods is found in the Estate Inventories. The old Widow's Inventories are also found in these books. The deceased assets, monies owed to the deceased, debts the estate paid and the division of the property and monies is found. Not all estate settlements were recordered. There are a couple hundred green metal boxes in the Register and Recorder's vault. They are numbered. At some point, (when documents started to be typed?) all the documents settling an Estate were grouped together in an heavy paper envelope which contains the Will, Estate Inventory, any Orphan's Court Dockets, Bonds, any pertinent information, etc. I have not researched that I have used this source, but it is there. I saw someone with one of the boxes opened and was shown what it as. This is information much later than what I have been researching. A genealogist Florence Clint wrote books called "a key" for each county in Pa, including one for the state. I purchased a "key" f or Huntingdon County which outlines what is at the Register and Recorder's Office, Prothonatary's Office, the Historical Society, etc. I purchased the book on e-bay. I have been looking for the 1910 Coroner's Record's. No one knows where they are. I have checked with the Prothonotary's Office, Johnny Mills (the Retired Register & Recorder) Janet Hanks, (Register & Recorder) the Commissioner's Office and Mrs. Polly Whelan. I have a Death Cert.signed by the Coroner in 1910. Anybody have any ideas where these records could be? Thanks, Teresa Shade Anderson
