I am looking for information on the Joseph Shingler family. Joseph was born abt. 1784 and died after 1850. He appears in the 1850 census for Brady Township with the following children: Susannah, 1822 Joseph, 1823 Mary, 1824 Henry, 1827 Michael, 1829 Jeremiah, 1832 Christopher, 1834 Other possible children from information on Rootsweb and Ancestry.com could include: Jacob, 1821 John, 1824 I have info on the following children: Susanna married John Gates and can be found in the 1850 census for Brady Township Joseph married Rebecca and can be found in the 1870-1880 census years for Brady Township Henry married Charlotte Anderson and can be found in the 1860-1880 census years for Penn Township Michael married Jane and can be found in the 1880 census for Athens County, OH Jeremiah married Susanna and can be found in the 1880 census for Athens County, OH Christopher married Rachel and can be found in the 1880 census for Hocking County, OH I am looking for information on the other children, and in particular where they were in the 1860 census. I am also looking for information on the older Joseph's wife and where he and any of the children who remained local may be buried. I would also like to find his death date. I know that son Henry and his wife are buried in the Anderson Cemetery in Penn Township. That is the only burial I am aware of.
