I've been trying to trace his family. I did find a record of James Parks born about 1854 who died about 1903 in Franklin, Venango County, PA, but I'm not sure if this is the same James Parks married to my great-great grandmother. Maria Jane Scott Parks (who usually went by the name Jane), was born about 1854 and died in 1931. I believe her parents may have been John Scott and Tamer Williams Scott or she had some family relationship to the Scott family. Tamer Williams Scott was previously married to Thomas Kerr who died about 1834. I hope we can link the information in our families.
