David, When you say "original" tax lists for Huntingdon county, are you referring to the fact that Huntingdon was created from Bedford county in 1787, and that you're looking for records earlier than 1787? I don't know about Bedford having the Huntingdon tax lists, but BCGS has those lists on microfilm http://www.rootsweb.com/~pabcgs/holdings.html - look down at the bottom of the page.
