Hello Fellow Listers: Since the Huntingdon Co. List has been "hot" lately with discussion about the RICHARDSON families... I thought I'd add my family info to the list also. I am a descendant through William and Elizabeth's youngest son, Elias - who moved into Lack Twp., Juniata Co., PA.. Anyone else related to this crew? Donna Heller Zinn of Newville, Cumberland Co., PA. ****************************** William Richardson, born ca.1745 in England, occupation Farmer. He married[i] Elizabeth Brock, married 13-Oct-1768 in Cumberland Co.,PA.,[ii] born ca.1745, died __-___-1813,2 buried: __-___-1813 in Catholic Cem. (Franklin Co.,PA.). William died __-Mar-1813 in Fannett Twp.,Franklin Co.,PA.,1 buried: __-Mar-1813 in Catholic Cem. (Franklin Co.,PA.). He was to have "came from his native country, England, to America in his youth." He was to have lived at one time in Huntingdon Co., PA.. He was living in Fannet Twp., Franklin Co., PA. on 18-Sep-1806. He and his wife were members of the Catholic church. Both he and Elizabeth died during the same year and are buried in one grave. He owned ground by and adjoining the land of Patrick Hughs and the Round Top Mountain in Fannett Twp. in Franklin Co.. In 1796 he was taxed for 100 acres, 1 horse and 1 cow in Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA. He made his will on 18-Sep-1806. His son, Elias reported on the census' that his [meaning Elias] parents were foreign born. Elizabeth: She was still alive when William (husband) wrote his will...Mar-1813. She and William were to have lived in Huntingdon Co., PA.. I. William Richardson, born ca.1770. He is the oldest son. He was to receive $1.00 from his father's will. On the November 1828 Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA. Tax Lists he was listed as 28 years of age and a Cooper. II. Joseph Richardson, born ca.1770. He was taxed as a single Freeman living in Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA. in 1796. He was to receive $1.00 from his father's will. He was not listed on the November 1828 Fannett Twp. Tax List. III. Ann Richardson, born ca.1775. IV. Jean "Jennie" Richardson, born ca.1775. V. Elizabeth Richardson, born ca.1780. I believe she may be the Elizabeth Richeson listed on pg. 389 of the 1850 Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA. Census. VI. Margaretta Richardson, born ca.1780. I believe she may be the Margaret Richeson found on page 388 of the 1850 Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA. Census. VII. George Richardson, born ca.1780. He was not listed on the November 1828 Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA. Tax List. VIII. Mary Richardson, born __-___-1785 in Franklin Co.,PA. 2 She married Samuel Parsons, married __-___-1822,2 born __-___-1785 in Chester Co.,PA.,2 occupation Farmer,2 died 8-Feb-1871,2 buried: __-Feb-1871 in cemetery near Black Log Tannery, Lack Twp., Juniata Co., PA. [iii] Mary died 19-Feb-1880.2 She was a member of the Catholic Church. Samuel: His parents: Samuel and Hannah Brown Parsons. Both of his parents were to have been born in Chester Co., PA.. His father was to have been a farmer all of his life. He was member of the Methodist Church. IX. Benjamin Richardson, born ca. 1790. He was the next to the youngest son. At the time of his father's death, both he and his brother Elias were to "hold" the farm. He was not listed on the 1828 Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA. Tax List. X. Elias Richardson, also known as Elezar Richardson, born __-___-1796.[iv] He married Agnes Horn, nickname Nancy Richardson, married pre 1821, born __-___-1802,[v] died 1860-70.5 Elias died 1880-1890.[vi] He was the youngest child and was under age in Mar-1813. At the time of his father's death in 1813 he and his brother, Benjamin were to "hold" the farm. He was listed as 32 years of age and a laborer and living in Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA. in November 1828. He lived in Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA. in 1843 and was taxed for 0 acres; 1 cow and 1 horse. He and his wife and children were found residing in Fannett Twp. on 15-Sep- 1850 - where he was listed with no Real Estate Property value. In 1880 he was living with a John and Sarah (36 yrs.) Andrews in Lack Twp., Juniata Co. and he could not read or write. He was listed as being 86 yrs. of age in 1880 and widowed. He died after June 1880 when the Census was taken. Agnes: I am presuming that her maiden name is Horn(e) because the name is given to several children and grandchildren. She was listed as 56 yrs. of age on the 1860 Census in Lack Twp., Juniata Co., PA. beside David & Mary Miller on one side and Joseph and Catherine Richardson on the other.
