I had information that John Spencer was the husband of Elizabeth Caldwell and that he died in Licking County, Ohio on April 30, 1827. The recent posting of Huntingdon County Deaths 1807-1827 lists this person as Gen. John Spencer and that he drowned in Ohio on April 30, 1827. Does anyone on this list have any information on John Spencer's military background or his ancestry?

Janet Gray has contributed death records in Huntingdon county which were taken from Africa's "History of Huntingdon and Blair Counties". They are online at http://www.rootsweb.com/~pahuntin/huntingdon_deaths.html We all owe a big thank you to her for what she's done. If anybody has anything they would be interested in submitting, I'll be more than happy to put it up. Cold winter months are a good time for indoor activities like transcribing cemetery records, obituaries, etc. Fortunately for us, it's apparently been pretty cold in Janet's neck of the woods. Thanks again. -- Ken Boonie Co-Coordinator, PaGenWeb Project Huntingdon County http://www.rootsweb.com/~pahuntin/ PROVERBS 3:13 How blessed is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding.

No I don't. My family was from Germany not England.

Ken, thank you alnd also Janet Gray. No great breakthroughs but did add some exact dates. Noticed something new to me. Women I had listed as Agnes (with or without a middle name) being called "Nancy" in the marriage record. Is this unusual?
