Joseph Wilson and Jane Waters were parents of Jane Isabella Wilson m. to William Heiney Briggs b. o. Benjamin Briggs. Trying to identify their Parents .
My Frederick Love died in 1824, I have no birth date for him. His wife Isabella was born 1760.. I do not have any information (birth or death dates) on any of the children except Mary who was born 1785.. That would give a 12 year difference in her birthdate to that of your Margaret, so it is possible. My grandmother was Ada Vaughn, who married Wm. Bealor. The Vaughn's were from the Juniata area... Anything is possible :) :) It's interesting that you have a Bolinger connection... I also have a Buchanan connection thru my Bealor line. Dottie Fox
Thanks Dottie. This helps a lot. I' m trying to see if a Margaret Elizabeth Love, born 1797, was part of this family. She married Alexander Buchanan in 1817 and was living in Lack Township, Mifflin County (now Juniata) in 1830. She moved on to Ohio and then to Iowa. Is there a possibility she is the "unknown" child? Does her birth year fit the range? I also have a Bolinger connection so maybe we can also compare notes on that family. I'll e-mail you privately when I get those notes out. Thanks, Angie
My 4th great grandparents were Frederick Love who died 1824 and his wife Isabella Born 1760 and died 1855. They had 8 children Mary - Born 1785 - Died aft 1860 ** James William Nancy Unk Thomas Robert Nelly. **Mary Love married William Vaughn-- these are my 3rd great grandparents. They had 7 children: Robert, Elizabeth, William A., Thomas Isabella, Ellen, and Frederick James. Frederick James Vaughn was my 2nd great grandfather, he married Catherine Bolinger. This appears to fit.. I will be happy to share my file if you are interested.. Dottie McClurg-Fox
The 1790 Census shows a JOHN LOVE in Huntindon County. 1820 lists a FREDERICK LOVE in Tell Township. 1830 lists FREDERICK, ROBERT, and THOMAS LOVE in Tell Township. 1840 lists FREDERICK, JAMES, ROBERT and THOMAS in Tell Township. 1850 lists ROBERT, FREDERICK, JAMES, THOMAS and SAMUEL in Tell Township. The 1850 listing for Thomas Love shows him as a 54-year-old farmer residing with Margaret Love aged 75, born in PA; and Isabella Love, aged 92, born in Ireland. Does anyone know if this was his mother and grandmother? Is anyone researching these families? Does anyone have information on how they are inter-related, or more information on their beginnings? Does anyone know if there are land records, naturalizaton records, or wills for the LOVE family in Huntingdon County? Thanks, Angela
