    3. >Does Juniata College have a website with access to these obits? >Pat > >> answer from Steve Kemp. I don't know what you'll find at the main website >>which is www.juniata.edu Surely you can e-mail the library reference dep't or call them up. Hard to say if they will locate and search the specific volume; they may refer you to a researcher with the county historical society if that's beyond their range of service, in their opinion. Also I forgot to mention that Hugh Lindsay simultaneously published a DAILY LOCAL NEWS along with his Semi-Weekly in the decade of the 1880s. We all feel that these should have been filmed in the course of the State Library's big microfilming project ten years or so ago, but the local end of the partnership effort did not include genealogists. There are significant other "runs" of local newspapers shelved at J. C. [more or less because no other library wanted them] and which were never microfilmed either. Needless to say, they become more brittle and subject to damage as time goes by.

    3. Looking for death date for Mary Catherine Shaver/Shaffer TWEED. She is the sister of John Henry VARNER of Huntingdon Boro. and was living with his family at 1509 Mifflin Street according to the Huntingdon City Directory of 1888. She is the divorced wife of Thomas TWEED (d.1882), also of Huntingdon Boro. I contacted Riverview Cemetery and was told she did not purchase a lot there. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Ennisville. Her mother, Susan Charlotte VARNER is buried there. Would someone know if this is her burial site also? She was born ca. 1833. A death date, obit., or any help would be deeply appreciated. Anne Varner New

    3. Hi: Anyone got any info on a Joshua Innis who lived in Huntingdon in the early 1800's (born in Ireland in 1759). He may have been related somehow to my gggg-grandfather William Morton who owned land in Huntingdom at that time. Joshua's wife was named Margaret. There is also an Alexander Innis connected somehow, could be son or Joshua. This is a shot in the dark, but who knows... Thanks, Jim Morton
