    3. Sorry for sending this to the subscribe instead of the list. SE Hi Ken, I hate to bother you, but I can't find the Stewart wills for Huntingdon, Barree Twp, that Tim Esch posted 1 May, 2001. They were on another site, and when I went there it re-directed me to the Huntingdon site. {http://millennium.fortunecity.com/plumpton/498} Any ideas? Haven't been able to reach Tim Esch for several months. I suspect that something may have happened to him, or he is no longer doing GEN. I had read them once before, but now have new information on my Ralston/Stewart/Montgomery connections and need to go back and search them again for clues. Tried to send to the KAB addy but wouldn't go through. Thanks for any help. If anyone else connects to this lines would love to hear from you - David, John, Thomas Ralston, {Sarah, the mother died 1819} - late 1700s to 1850s Mary Boyd Ralston, wife of Thomas Ralston - late 1700s- 1830? 3. Well I'll get no peace until I tell the story so here goes. It is funny and is good for a Friday. One of the Saturdays we were working, I called Domino's pizza to have a pizza delivered. They always ask for your phone number but in this case I wasn't at home and told them I'd give them my cell phone number. Then they asked where I was. I told them Riverview cemetery. There are actually street signs so I walked to the nearest street sign and told them where I was and the best route for the delivery driver to take. About a half hour later, the delivery girl arrived and we were chuckling about her delivering to the cemetery. She said she couldn't wait to tell her husband because just the week before they were driving past the cemetery and he pointed up and said "There's someplace you'll never deliver pizza to." That just made her day and Ken and I had a good laugh as well. Also, I want to announce that Ken Murtiff has offered to help with the county web site, as well as a few other people. Ones I know for certain are Ken's sister and Judy Banja. I really am thankful for their offer to help because I was going to resign as coordinator at the end of October because it took much more time than ever. So you're stuck with me for a while longer. Hope you all enjoyed the pizza story. >Ken Boonie, >PLEASE, tell the list the story of the girl who delivered the pizza to you >at the cemetery; it is Friday and eveyone could use a smile. > >Bless You All, >Janet Gray Ken Boonie Classroom Support Technician Penn State University 108 Thomas Building (814)863-8505 Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

    1. [PAHUNTIN] GraysVille Cemetery Question Per Linda
    2. Hi List, This is for Linda who had asked about the information for the Graysville Cemetery which I think she had returned a reply stating that she had found what she needed. I passing this info on to those who may find it helpful. I was fortunate back in 1997 when I originally went searching for the Cemetery and talked to a gentleman who lived next door to the church since I couldn't find the cemetery and he was kind enough to give me the telephone number to contact Anne Wagner. My memory is poor about my discussions with Mrs. Wagner. Original records of the cemetery are not available due to either lost or kept by others as well as the issue with the original church fire. The History sign that is located at the Presbytarian Church notes that the original church was located across the road from the current location and there was a fire. I recieved information from Anne Wagner on my 2nd great-grandparents. It was explained to me that they had gone through and recorded all the information off of the gravemarkers and I was supplied with the ledger page. Other little info. is that on the ledger page provided to me is the names of Miller , Morsow or Morson. I'm unsure whether or not Anne Wagner still has the records or not. The address is as follows: Graysville Cemetery Association HCO 1 Box 109 Spruce Creek , PA 16683 Hope this information provides helpful genealogical research. Your Friend, Ken Murtiff

    1. [PAHUNTIN] BLAIRs--- HUNTINGDON & BEDFORD COUNTY
    2. A year or so ago, I found in the "History of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania" an article about the Broad Top City I. O. O. F. Lodge. I don't have the book, and don't know when it was published, but the article reads: "The present membership is fifty-one. The officers are William PREECE, N. G.; A. J. BLAIR, V. G.; W. J. AMMERMAN, Sec.; S. A. BLAIR, Asst. Sec; and A. HOUCK, Treas." I am interested in the two BLAIR names. I believe they might be Andrew Jackson BLAIR, born about 1851 and Samuel Alexander BLAIR, born 11 May 1857. Both sons of Andrew and Susannah/Susan BLAIR. Is anyone familiar with this group of BLAIRs? 1. [PAHUNTIN] Safety Tips for Women
    2. Bonnie Moore
    3. Please take the time to read this. I know you are smart enough to know these pointers but there will be some, where you will go "hmm I must remember that". After reading this, forward it to someone you care about. It never hurts to be careful in this crazy world we live in. 1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do! 2. Learned this from a tourist guide to New Orleans: If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you....chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION! 3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won't see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives. 4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc. DON'T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR, LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE. 5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage: A.) Be aware: look around you, look into your car, at the passenger side floor, and in the back seat. (and check out under the car as you approach) B.) If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars. C.) Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle, and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.) 6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs.(Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot). 7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN! 8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked "for help" into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim. Another Safety Point Fwd: Crying Baby Someone just told me that her friend heard a crying baby on her porch the night before last, and she called the police because it was late and she thought it was weird. The police told her "Whatever you do, DO NOT openthe door." The lady then said that it sounded like the baby had crawled near a window, and she was worried that it would crawl to the street and get run over. The policeman said, "We already have a unit on the way, whatever you do, DO NOT open the door." He told her that they think a serial killer has a baby's cry recorded and uses it to coax women out of their homes thinking that someone dropped off a baby. He said they have not verified it, but have had several calls by women saying that they hear baby's cries outside their doors when they're home alone at night. Please pass this on! and DO NOT open the door for a crying baby. This e-mail should probably be taken seriously because the Crying Baby theory was mentioned on America's Most Wanted this past Saturday when they profiled the serial killer in Louisiana. I'd like you to forward this to all the women you know. It may save a life. A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle. I was going to send this to the ladies only, but guys, if you love your mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, etc., you you may want to pass it onto them, as well. Send this to any woman you know that may need to be reminded that the world we live in has a lot of crazies in it and it's better safe than sorry --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
