    3. Seeing this message, I am wondering if you would be so kind as to look in John Blair Linn's book to see if there are any KYLER's named (may be different spelling in older generations, even with a C). I am trying to find ancestors of Polly and Benjamin KYLER (ca from census, she born about 1820/1 and he ca born 1814). Polly and Benjamin KYLER had a son, J. (John/Jacob) Henry KYLER born 6/14/1850 (shortly after June 1, 1850 census). any help will be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance Peggy (Smith) Corrie -----Original Message----- From: pr1190@yahoo.com <pr1190@yahoo.com> To: PAHUNTIN-L@rootsweb.com <PAHUNTIN-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Tuesday, October 21, 2003 1:06 AM Subject: [PAHUNTIN] Re: Samuel MCMULLEN b. 1804 d. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZdB.2ACI/3136.1.1 Message Board Post: John McMullen is probably a brother to Samuel. I have been contacted by two different people tracing John indicating John had a brother Samuel, and both lived in Tell Township. William McMullen and John McMullen both lived in Huntingdon County and the Dublin/Tell Township area at the time of the birth of Samuel, so I'm looking at both of them. They each had several children. There was also a Barney McMullen who was stabbed to death in Mercersberg. It's difficult sorting them all out. Eleanor McMullene Blumenschein

    2. You are wonderful people. A POEM; " DEAR ANCESTOR" Your tombstone stands among the rest, neglected and alone. The name and dates are chiseled out on polished marble stone, It reaches out to all who care, it is too late to mourn. You did not know that I exist; you died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you, in flesh, in blood, in bone, Our blood contracts and beats a pulse entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled so long ago Spreads out among the ones you left, who would have loved you so. I wonder if you knew That someday I would find the spot, and come and visit you. (Author Unknown) With much gratitude for your unselfish service. Joan Kaylor Stahlhut

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: MCMULLEN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ZdB.2ACI/3136 Message Board Post: Samuel McMullen (b. 1804 PA, d. 1865 Tell Twp. PA) married Sarah Hegie in Shade Gap in 1838 and lived most of his life in the Tell/Dublin Townships area. I am looking for the father of Samuel. Samuel probably had a brother, John, dates unknown. It is possible that John McMullen, one of the seven who came from Ireland and fought in the Revolution could be the father, but I have no proof. The elder John appears in Dublin Twp in 1795 and in the 1810 census. Can anyone help? Eleanor McMullen Blumenschein

    3. Just a note of explanation: Because of the list server being down for a week - we are starting to see messages on the List from the Huntingdon Message Board that were actually posted about a week ago. Some of these messages may even come out of order. If you are interested, you may want to visit the Huntingdon Message Board and look at the posts. If you change the box at the bottom to Listed by: "Date Collapsed" - you will be able to see them in the order they were posted. It may be less confusing.
