    2. Hi Jamie, The only thing I found in the Shirleysburg History was mention of Hugh King's daughter Susanna King Crone. That was good, as I knew Crone's were related somehow to my Miller family. Margaret King Miller and Susan were sisters. The book is out of print. I would keep checking some of the used book websites. You may find an actual copy. Go to the Penn State website and read it. It was written in the form as a newspaper column. I actually copied the book. many pages, but quick reading. I didn't copy the Mount Union information. T

    3. I totally agree with Kathryn's reminder about findagrave.com. Their site is far from a complete listing, but it's an invaluable research aid and has broken down many brick walls for me over the past few years, and also provided me with a few photos of some of my ancestors -- not just gravestone photos, but photos of the people themselves as provided by people/descendents who posted them at findagrave.com. I'm very grateful to people who have taken the time and effort over the years to post information and transcriptions there, and have begun posting some listings of my own there, hoping I can help someone else break down a brick wall as was done for me. I join Kathryn in suggesting everyone add this site to their research links to check regularly, and to add your own listings and participate in any way you feel you can. It really is a great tool to have at our disposal in our family history research. Have a safe and pleasant Independence Day holiday, everyone :) Dawn -----Original Message----- From: Kathryn M. 3. Hello [email protected] and Fellow Listers: Would you please provide a little more info about your William RICHARDSON? I too, am a descendant of a William RICHARDSON (b.ca.1745 in England - and was to at one time be "of Huntingdon Co." - as per a published history/biographical annal) who at the time of his death was living in Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA. in 1813. This William RICHARDSON was married to an Elizabeth BROCH who also died in 1813 and is to be buried in the same grave as her husband in an unnamed Catholic Cemetery. William and Elizabeth BROCH RICHARDSON had a son, William who was listed as the eldest son, in the elder William's will [in Franklin Co. Court House] in which he was to only receive $1.00. Could this be your ancestor??? I am a descendant of the youngest son, Elezar [aka Elias] (b.1800). I am looking for the graves of my grandfather Frank Eckard and my great grandfather Dillar Eckard. I recently acquired Dillar's obituary, he died in 1930. He was viewed at the L. C.
