Hopefully this is only for users of IE 6 or IE 8, and not users of other browsers like Firefox or Safari. If they drop support for those, they drop support for anyone who uses a Macintosh. Microsoft dropped IE for Mac back around 2001 or 2002. Mike To those who did not understand my abbreviation, it stands for your web browers of Internet Explorer. For a long time if you had downloaded the version 7 you could not acces a lot of sites and now they have version 8 out and I am hearing the same complaint from others. Ancestry is just now converting things, I guess for use of version 7 of the browser. If you let windows do an auto update on your windows files, you may have vesion 8 of Internet Explorer but I choose to be notified of these updates and choose the ones I may or may not want and when I want to do the updates. If you are on XP yu may be running version 6 as we had put version 7 in nmy ex husbands a while back and had major problems iwth outlook express email program, college sites and our bank site and had to remove it.
