Hi, Rick, I'm not a Wilson descendant but I do know of a Wilson family who lived in German Twp., Fayette beginning about 1771. The patriarch was Alexander Wilson who had a 100 acre tract called "Refuge" patented in 1771 in what had been Cumberland Co. (when the tract was warranted), then was Bedford, and later became Westmoreland, then German Twp. Fayette. Alexander's wife was named Deborah; they sold this tract to their son-in-law, John "Lecky," in 1803 for a nominal amount. Apparently their dau. Mary had married John Leckey. Alexander was on the list of taxables for German, Fayette from 1785-1798. Alexander is on the 1810 Census for German, Fayette. Nearby is a David Wilson 26-45 with a young family. Next to David is a Thomas "Willson" also 26-45 with a young family. Best regards, Jane
