In the 1772 tax list for Springhill Twp., Bedford Co., I find a Thomas Gooden and a William and Joseph Goodwin. Later, I find a Daniel Gooden in a land record for Zachariah Gapen, dated 1786. I would like to know if the Goodens and Goodwins of Greene Co. were different families, since I've seen those names recorded interchangeably in some sources.
