The "D" came from 1850 Virginia census and from his obituary in Rushville IL newspaper. I'm now searching by naming convention. Here are my naming "guesses" for John and Barbara Pethtel Moore's children: Christina (1830) after grandmother? Elizabeth Christina Moore. Or John Moore and Christina Hamilton (b. Greene PA 1813)? Henry (1834) and Maria/Mariah (1845) named after Henry Pethel and Mary Bradford parents of Barbara Pethtel Moore. Sarah (my gggrandmother 1837) after Barbara's sister Sarah Pethtel. Armstrong (1848) possible connection somehow to Armstrong Moore, son of John Moore and Susannah Shriver ? Any clues or search method appreciated.
