My library system couldn't afford Heritage Quest BEFORE Hurricane Katrina and the Engineers' Flood of 2005. Most branches have yet to reopen, including my own, which had its roof blown off and the contents destroyed, without the added horror of flooding. Currently, some branches are being repaired/rebuilt/replaced as money and/or volunteers permit. As with everything else, we wait patiently. There are no funds to rebuild and restore all the branches and certainly none to subscribe to Heritage Quest. Some day. . .
