From: mbrower Do you know the parents of Sarah WHITE who married Peter FOX? My WHITE, BARE/BEAR and RIDENOUR families lived in Whitley and Mt. Morris, Greene County, Preston Co & Monongalia Co VA/WV. William George WHITE was a Civil War solider who joined the PA 101st. Died in Monongalia Co WV June 1900. Hello My Geni Friend, YES.............I was pleased to see that I do have that information for you of the WHITE's THE TENMILE COUNTRY AND ITS PIONEER FAMILIES: On Page: 405 Children of: ISAAC and JANE (Shriver) WHITE 1. ALICE WHITE, born: July 20. 1822 2. MAZY WHITE, born: July 12, 1824, married (1) ISRAEL LEMLEY; (2) _____GUTHERIE 3. SARAH WHITE, born: August 6, 1826, married: PETER FOX, Jr. 4. BASIL WHITE, born: January 5. 1829, married: MARY FOX, born: 22 May 1829 Sarah White's Mother was JANE SHRIVER: born: March 2. 1802, died: January 7, 1831, married: ISAAC WHITE, born: on October 29. 1802, died: July 7, 1890. Son of ISRAEL and SARAH (Slater) WHITE. Now, I don't know the parents of JANE SHRIVER, but she was the 6th child. I didn't copy the page that would have had her parents on, but I do have 10 of the names of her siblings, missing the # 1 child and their parents. If there would be any one that has access to the book of "The Tenmile Country and it's Pioneer Families" they could look up for you on page 402 or 403 of that book. For I have only from page 404. Now I wish I had copied the whole book (but at the time I was looking for information on my FOX family) while I had it on loan from the Library here in Phoenix. I don't know where they found the book in another state for me, but I'm sure your library could get it on loan for you. Hoping this will guide you into a new path of your cherished ancestors. Let me know if you find someone with the answer? CARPE DIEM, Lori ; ) in Arizona formally from Washington, Pa. ************************************** AOL now offers free email to everyone. It starts with Adam Shriver and his wife Christina (possibly Strosnider). If you'd like the complete information, I can type or scan it for you, but to answer your question, Jane Shriver was the daughter of John and Alice Richards Shriver; John was the son of Adam and Christina (possibly Strosnider) Shriver.
