Thank you--I have asked for the pension record for Joseph Fox, and have provided this information to them. I am told that no record exists. My question is--what do I do? We know the record exists--same for PA archives. Is there an archive supervisor? This is the Joseph Fox that died in 1847, and his widow, Elsey Fox not only continued to receive a pension from his Rev. War service, but purchased bounty land--in Greene County, I believe. Can any of you provide guidance? Joseph also did what sounds like PA militia service in Northumberland County, following the Revolutionary war in about 1782-1783. Wouldn't that be part of the state government records? Your insight, as always is appreciated. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. When I was at the National Archives years ago [I think about 1975] I was told the file had 'disappeared.' Jocelyn
