I've just started looking for a friends natural father. If possable, we need to find a blood relative for her. She found her real birth certificate and now knows that her natural father was Earl C. Russell. We know that he was born @ 1935. He was 29 years old when Kimberly Jane Russell was born on Feb. 16, 1965. On the birth certificate It showed she was born in the U. S. Army Hospital at Fort Jackson, Richland Co., S. C. There is a "Columbia" written next to that area on the information I was given. Earl C. Russell was in he Army at that time of Kimberly's birth. I think they said he was a PFC. Now, the mother was Geraldine Mae Cedar who was also 29. and she was born in N. Y. Her mother and grandmother are both deceased and as far as I know those were her only relatives she know or perhaps she said had. The mother was in the U.S. Army at the time also and was a SP5. I saw a copy of the birth certificate of Kimberly's The only other information was the Dist #. that she was born in was 3800 There was another number 3940402 and then there was another number 65-005210. Do you have any idea what those numbers are about? Do you know how to go about finding information from the military records?
