Specifically a John Barnhart(b. abt. 1823 PA), who was married to a Betsey Portrum in Van Buren County IA in 1847. Listed in 1850 census for Calhoun County Il., household #14. I have a copy of a warranty deed for property sold in Ringgold County Ia, dated 1870 signed and sealed in Green County PA. Land sold by a Jonathon Barnhart & George Simpson of Richhill Twsp, Greene County PA to Henry B. Silvers and wife Rachel of Waynesburg(sp?) Twsp, Greene County PA. Does Anyone know how or if these Barnharts are linked? My brick wall is finding the link to the Barnhart family that John Barnhart, (who is most likeley my GGgrandfather) belongs to. Lost track of John at 1850 census but found Betsey married to a Fred Kuhn in 1858. Any help on this family will be greatly appreciated.
