On our trips as a child to visit Daddy's family in Avella, PA. along RT. 40 in PA. I would always be so eager to come to that memorial to think of the greatness and strength and bravery of our "Pioneer Woman, along with their Men" just as she holds a baby in her arms and a child hugging her legs. It made my heart leap and sad; as I tried to place my self in what she was enduring as the wagon trains crepe along on an unknown, dangerous rutted dirt path. Just 2 years ago on our motorhome trip once again across this beautiful country from Arizona to New York, visiting family along the way in many States, and now an old lady, tears filled my heart and eyes. Thinking of her daily prayers for her loved ones, saying GOD will provide the strength for each new dawn if we desire. As a saying goes: We may run, walk, stumble, drive or fly, but let us never lose the reason for the journey or miss a chance to see a rainbow on the way. Do you think that may have been a prayer on her lips?
