Mrs. Buckingham was born near Marianna, Nov. 25, 1869. She was the daughter of John and Phoebe Bradbury Bennett, and spent all her life in Morgan Township, near Marianna. She married in 1895 to Isaac Buckingham, a Civil War veteran, who died several years ago. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, at Castile. Surviving are two sons, Bryson Buckingham and Sherman Buckingham, both at home; two brothers and two sisters, William H. Bennett, Dunns Station, RD 2; Sherman Bennett, of Washington; Mrs. William Gray, of New Freeport, and Mrs. A. C. Van Scyoc, of Waynesburg. Funeral services will be held in the Lucas Funeral Home, at 2 o'clock Saturday, June 24, in charge of the Rev. John C. Myers. Burial will be in the Greene Co. Memorial Park.
