    2. Mrs. Flossie Fox Cannon, 72, of Charleston, W. Va., a former resident of Greene County, died Friday, Jan. 28, 1966, at Kanawha Valley Hospital, Charleston. She was manager and operator of the Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio at Charleston. Mrs. Cannon, wife of Fred B. Cannon, was born at Mount Morris, where she resided during the early part of her life. She made her home at Charleston for a number of years. Surviving in addition to her husband are two nieces, Mrs. Olan Henderson, of Wadestown, W. Va., and Mary Eddy, of Charleston, and a nephew, W. G. Eddy, of Los Angeles, California. Her son, Ensign Fred B. Cannon, Jr. Was killed during World War ll and a sister, Mrs. J. Ellis Pitzer, of Fairmont, W. Va., died in 1955. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 31, at Charleston, with temporary interment in the Springfield Mausoleum at Charleston. Permanent burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery at Mount Morris. PS I made a correction in this obit. Spelling was wrong for the word Kanawha. It was spelled Kenowha. Many people spell Kanawha wrong. I live in Kanawha County. Mrs. Cannon was born in Mt. Morris in 1894, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Fox. She was married to Fred B. Cannon of Mt. Morris who survives her. They made their home in Mt. Morris for a number of years before moving to Charleston. The only child born to the Cannons, Ensign Fred B. Cannon, Jr., was a casualty of World War ll. Besides her husband she is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Olan Henderson of Wadestown, W. Va. And Mary Eddy of Charleston, W. Va. And one nephew W. G. Eddy of Los Angeles, California. Funeral services were held in Charleston on Monday, Jan. 31, with temporary interment in the Springfield Mausoleum in Charleston. Morris, with Dr. Paul P. Holden, of Waynesburg officiating. A memorial service was held at Charleston Jan. 31, but because of a severe snow storm interment could not be made and her body was temporarily entombed in a Charleston mausoleum. Mrs. Cannon was the wife of Fred B. Cannon. Following their marriage, they lived in Mt. Morris, Morgantown and Fairmont before moving to Charleston in 1939. For the last 15 years of her life Mrs. Cannon was owner and operator of the Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio, which Mr. Cannon now owns and operates. The committal service on June 9 will be held on what would have been Mr. and Mrs. Cannon’s 51st wedding anniversary. PS I'm trying to place her in my fox line...Can anyone help.
