Evelyn R. Clutter Tanner, 72, of 600 Bridge Street Commons, Waynesburg, died at 12:27 PM Wednesday, June 9, 1999, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg. She was born Sept. 17, 1926, in Washington, s daughter of Ross Franklin and Gladys P. Phillips Clutter. Mrs. Tanner was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesburg and was a homemaker. On Feb. 14, 1946, she married Lovell Gail Tanner, who died Jan. 11, 1984. Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Hall of Waynesburg; a son, Mark Tanner of Orlando, Florida; six grandchildren, Vickie Phillips, Dan Hall, Bobbie Boone, Jairus McCullough, Joshua Tanner and Chrystian Flowers; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille McNamara of Fairdale, W. Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are five brothers, Blaine, John, Fred and Lewis Clutter and Gaylord Clutter, who died in infancy.
