    1. [PAGRE] Pickenpaugh Graveyard

    3. I am trying to find out who was buried in the Pickenpaugh Graveyard. The graveyard is in Dunkard Twp., Greene Co., Pa. on the old Pickenpaugh land, which is on the Pa. and WV. state line. The Pickenpaugh family owned the land from about 1780 to about 1830. I suspect that the graveyard was started about 1786 when Johann Peter (Beckenbach ) Pickenpaugh died and continued until after 1830, when the land was sold to someone else. I have been told that the cemetery has been destroyed, and is no longer there. I am hopping that someone has very old cemetery recored, and can help me. The Pickenpaugh and Fortney family lived on the land. I think that they belonged to as religious group called Dunkers. The Pickenpaugh and Fortney family were Lutherans of German descents. Would there be any church or other records that would help me. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. I thank you for any help that you can give me. Richard Swank in California
