Jesse's will, last amended 1846, leaves his daughter Rachel Evans a piece of land. The will was proven in 1846. The court records list her husband as Jacob Evans. You can see the texts under Jesse in my database. I note that some researchers say "Daniel" and others "David" Evans. I would guess one or the other was his given first name, with Jacob his call name. If his ancestry was Welsh, David is the probable with Daniel entries a mis-reading. In 1850 there was a Thomas Evans age 73 in East Bethlehem twp, Washington co. He would be a candidate for father of Jacob.
