Death was due to pneumonia, from which he had been ill ten days. Mr. Eddy was in his 75th year having been born December 16, 1852 and had been a life long resident of Wayne Township. He was a son of John and Elizabeth Eddy and had followed farming until his retirement a few years ago. Besides his wife, Melissa Mapel Eddy he leaves the following sons and daughters; J.W. Eddy of Pine Bank; L.T. Eddy of Fairmont, WVa., Mrs. J.W. Cummins of Brave, Mrs. Silas King of Waynesburg, S.O. Eddy of Brave; Miss Margaret Eddy, at home, and J.I. Eddy of Brave. Two brothers, Michael Eddy of Waynesburg and S.S. Eddy of Brave, also survive. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock and the interment was in the Pine Bank Cemetery.
