THE ARIZONA REPUBLIC PHOENIX, AZ. July 6, 2007 JEWEL BALL MARTIN, 87, died July 2, 2007. Jewel was a descended from JOSEPH STIGGINS, one of the first English settlers in Alabama, coming from the Revolutionary War. His wife, NANCY GRAY, was a Native American of the Natchez tribe, part of the Creek (Muskogee) Confederacy. Jewel and her first husband, William C. Enholm, came to Arizona in 1942. For many years, Jewel was the executive secretary to James C. O"Malley of the O'Malley Companies in Phoenix. In 1968 Jewel married: Prince A. Martin, Jewel is survived by daughters Katherine (Paul) Hollowell and Mary Martin (Drew) Renckly; sons Carey (Elizabeth) and Chris Enholm; sister: Irene Baker; grandchildren; David Yevin, Jana Crosley, Alex, and Carly Renckley, Arlys, Jacob, Nicholas and Emily Enholm; Rob Bender and Julie Kuisie. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren. Services for Jewel will be held Saturday, July 7, 2007, at10 AM in the Chapel at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd., Phoenix. There will be a quiet time for viewing and reminiscing at 9AM, prior to the service.
