I can trace Jesse and his family from 1840 to Tyler Co. VA in 1850 and to Hancock Co. IL in 1860 and in 1880 I find his son Gideon in Warren County, IL with his wife Mary Ellen Philips. Where I have been stumped is who might have been Jesse's father. Thanks much for you reply and if you find anything prior to 1840 I would appreciate it.
