You supplied some very important info on James D Gregor. Thanks so much. We are researching the family together but have hit a wall concerning the father of James who is Mike/Michael Gregor/Grega and his wife Mary who died approx.1924. They lived in Alicia Pa. Marys maiden name was Petruuscha/Petrosky. She is the one we have nothing on. She probably died in hospital maybe in Brownsville of pernicious anemia.Clites are also related to our family.McLaughlin is married into family. Any direction you can give would be most appreciated, Thanks Carol Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: candicelynnb1 Surnames: Almost, Anderson, Arnold, Baker, Garrett, Johnson, Keener, Smith, Teagarden, Watson, Weaver Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.greene/10873/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am working on an extensive compiled genealogy for the Watson family of Greene and Washington Counties, Pennsylvania. This research is aimed at tracing all descendants, including female lines regardless of surname changes. An outline of the research is available at www.greeneconnections.com under "Greene County, Pennsylvania Genealogy Selections." This is an outline only and is limited to protect living individuals, but may help you to determine if you are related. The line is currently traced back to Robert Watson who immigrated circa 1810 to the USA from Ireland with his family. His son John Watson married Mary Ann Almost and had a large family that ties into the Anderson, Arnold, Baker, Garrett, Johnson, Keener, Smith, Teagarden and Weaver families, just to name a few. Robert also appears to have had at least three daughters who were born circa 1785-1794 and likely married into Washington or Greene County families between 1810 and 1820. A fourth daughter appears to have been born circa 1795 and may have been Sarah Watson who appears in West Bethlehem Township census records in 1840 and 1850 with a girl named Nancy who was born circa 1841 in Pennsylvania. I am very happy to share and exchange research and am particularly interested in scanning photos, interviewing relatives and bringing descendant lines up to date. The research is being carefully documented and all contributions to it will be appropriately credited. Please contact me directly at [email protected] Thank you! She was born in PA in 1803, I believe in Greene County (could be wrong on this). Looking to find her parents and siblings if possible. She married Jacob HARRIS somewhere around 1825 in Greene County. Also looking for parents and siblings of Jacob HARRIS born in Greene County in 1809. (I know there were several other HARRIS' in Greene county, but haven't been able to connect them. I know there was a Joseph HARRIS who died in 1837 and a Matthew HARRIS who died in 1841 who could be possible parents/grandparents.) If there a kind soul who may have these two ancestors in their files, please contact me. These are our gr-gr-gr-gr grandparents and we have hit a brick wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to verify Andrew Dunlap's parents and siblings and Jemima Robey's parents and siblings. I have some conflicting information about Jemima's father, especially. I've run into a book that discusses someone I thought was her brother, but the book states that the father immigrated from Scotland. That conflicts with census information that places Jemima's father as being born in Maryland. Of course, I find inaccurate information all the time so I suppose it isn't that surprising! But I'm looking for verification nonetheless. I'll e-mail you, too. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Jesse's will, last amended 1846, leaves his daughter Rachel Evans a piece of land. The will was proven in 1846. The court records list her husband as Jacob Evans. You can see the texts under Jesse in my database. I note that some researchers say "Daniel" and others "David" Evans. I would guess one or the other was his given first name, with Jacob his call name. If his ancestry was Welsh, David is the probable with Daniel entries a mis-reading. In 1850 there was a Thomas Evans age 73 in East Bethlehem twp, Washington co. He would be a candidate for father of Jacob. You can run Rachel's ancestry back on my web site www.gamber.net/gamber/ as well as my database on Rootsweb.
