Specifically a John Barnhart(b. abt. 1823 PA), who was married to a Betsey Portrum in Van Buren County IA in 1847. Listed in 1850 census for Calhoun County Il., household #14. I have a copy of a warranty deed for property sold in Ringgold County Ia, dated 1870 signed and sealed in Green County PA. Land sold by a Jonathon Barnhart & George Simpson of Richhill Twsp, Greene County PA to Henry B. Silvers and wife Rachel of Waynesburg(sp?) Twsp, Greene County PA. Does Anyone know how or if these Barnharts are linked? My brick wall is finding the link to the Barnhart family that John Barnhart, (who is most likeley my GGgrandfather) belongs to. Lost track of John at 1850 census but found Betsey married to a Fred Kuhn in 1858. Any help on this family will be greatly appreciated. Dear List, I was looking up info for someone on my Cemetery CDs. Specifically, I was looking at M4, which I assumed was Green Mount Cemetery, Franklin Township (Section 4). The Master Name Index lists two M4s: Green Mount Cemetery, Franklin Township (Section 4) and Saint Ann's Cemetery, Franklin Township. When I loaded the CD the surname I was searching (Sprowls) didn't show for Green Mount and Saint Ann's wasn't listed for the choices. I went to contents and Saint Ann's was listed there. So, I clicked on it and the Sprowls tombstone was there. However, the file extension above showed Green Mount instead of Saint Ann's. Now, I'm confused. Is the Sprowls stone located in Saint Ann's or Green Mount (Section 4)? Is Mr. Fordyce still on this list? If so, could I please get clarification? If not, can someone else help? I have a picture of Estella and John with Bernard when he was 6 months old. I've been researching the family for years now. I am so lucky to have my mother-in-law and other family relatives assisting me. I also have a picture of Leroy Wood Kintyhtt holding Bernard and Cecil on his lap. Cecil must be the older of the two boys. Also have a picture of Leroy and Sarah Rebecca (Kuhn) in their older years. Our family link is their daughter Martha Jane Kintyhtt married William Isaac Price whom are my husbands great grandparents. I have many family photos that I would love to share with you via the internet. I also have pictures of the Kintyhtt family gravesite. Estella is buried at the Price family gravesite. On one of the many trips we've taken to WV, my husband was able to get pictures for me. It's a very remote area to get to. I happen to be researching his family surnames today and ran across your m! essage on the community message board. I hope to hear from you soon. Any one have info on Susanah Gray(or Suesanne Grey) b. ca 1744 a cousin of President James Monroe, who married a John (orJohanes DeCamp)? Other Gray/Grey names associated with this line is Matthias Cowan who made the first settlement in N. Huntingdon Twp. and married a Miss Gray. Abner Gray/Grey -Miss Gray/Grey's brother was captured by Indians on their farm. John Gray's wife Hannah died 30 July 1850 age 53 and buried in Long Run Presbyterian Cemetery in N. Huntingdon twp. Supposedly the John DeCamp & a John Grey/Gray were neighbors in Westmoreland Co. but I haven't seen written proof. Any help would be greatly appreciated in connecting these lines.
