    1. Looking for clues in the Simons Family

    3. Hi, I am reposting my family information hoping it will yield new clues as to my mother's grandparents, Steward (aka Reed) Simons and Cora Reese, I believe had the following children including my grandmother, Dorothy Simons. They have lived in Bethlehem and surrounding area all their lives. Here is the run down on the children, they have had: Harrison SIMONS was born about 1888. Arthur M. SIMONS was born about 1890. John A. SIMONS was born about 1892. Alice M. SIMONS was born about 1894. Mary M. SIMONS was born about 1897. Archie J. SIMONS was born about 1899. Mervin F. SIMONS was born about 1904. Catharine I SIMONS was born about 1905. Jacob A. SIMONS was born about 1910. Evelyn SIMONS. Dorothy Elizabeth SIMONS was born May 1913 . Gilbert SIMONS. I am hoping someone out there would recognize these names on the census or possibly related, any information about this family I would gladly exchange what knowledge I have on the 3 of the 12 children that I have on. Please email me off list or post a reply to the list. Thank you for any assistance you may give me. Any census from 1880-1930 would be greatly appreciated. Joseph Grohol Jr.

    3. Folks, For those of you who are not aware, you can purchase 1790 - 1930 actual census records - (not transcriptions) on CD and have them in your own home. If you join Heritage Quest - I think it is $29.95, you can buy the Census on CD for $14.95 each. It would be like looking at a roll of film at the National Archives or anywhere else. They have a catalog of the films/CDs and you order accordingly. I have been buying from them for several years now, and would not do it any other way. While the CDs are NOT indexed, I have not minded that a bit. I have found more family only because I was looking line by line! However, Some Census years are indexed - such as Ancestry is working on 1920. Also, for 1870, Heritage Quest will prepare a CD for you by surname. It includes very person by that surname for 1870 and covers the entire United States. For those of you, who are stuck, and do not have access to information, this is a great way to keep going. And if you should choose to not join Heritage Quest, you can still buy the CDs for $19.95 each. Good luck. meg Joe & Stephanie Grohol wrote: > Hi, > > I am reposting my family information hoping it will yield new clues as > to my mother's grandparents, Steward (aka Reed) Simons and Cora Reese, I > believe had the following children including my grandmother, Dorothy > Simons.
