The Genealogy Centre has built up a database, which stands at over one million entries, of the major civil and church records for County Derry/Londonderry and the Inishowen Peninsula, County Donegal. Our Database for these areas cannot be matched by any other organisation either in or outside of Ireland As we don't receive public funding to operate a genealogical research service we are obliged to charge fees for conducting research. We are not a library, if you wish to conduct your own research through record sources you should approach the relevant record offices. If you require the Genealogy Centre to examine its extensive database please complete the enclosed form and post it with the initial search fee of £30 (sterling) or $50 (USA). All payments should be made payable to the Inner City Trust. We will then conduct relevant searches of our database, based on information provided in your research form, and inform you of the results. Even at this initial stage we will provide you with actual details from our database. If the research is proving successful we can then advise a final fee for completing research. In those cases, however, where a complete examination of the database is negative we will inform you, and no additional payment will be asked for.
