Greetings List; I am new to this particular list.My ancestor is James Hollingsworth,b.ca.1802 Mottram in Longdendale England;He married an Anna Taylor in 1822 and likely died in Pennsylvania 1853. The publication, "Standard Hollingsworth Genealogies by WB Hollingsworth,1880, which I have, contains the following entry: "____ Hollingsworth was Born in Lancashire, 7 miles from Manchester, England. He died in 1853, in his 51st year. He came from England to Philadelphia, Pa.(Year not stated in publication,but likely in 1843 based on other family history). His Issue (were): I George--Born 1823. Died 1862. II James--Born 1826. Died 1863. III Thomas--Born 1836. Lived at Mt. Vernon, Ind. IV John--Born 1841. Lived in Indiana. V Robert--Born at Philadelphia, Pa., 1844. Lived at St. Louis, Mo. Also 3 daughters. The III entry,Thomas Hollingsworth b. 1836 in Mt. Vernon Indiana is my ancestor.I am trying to confirm that the __ Hollingsworth in the "Hollingsworth Publication" is my ancestor,James Hollingsworth and to obtain additional information about this ancestor.
