Molly I'd like to request your permission to put this postcard online on my webpage Past Voices: Letters Home. http://pastvoices.com/ If you go to the USA section, at http://pastvoices.com/usa/ you can see what I have put online so far. My hope is to have researchers make contacts through these letters, postcards and journals Posting to the list as you have done is a great idea but I believe you will reach a wider audience through my webpage. If you agree to putting this postcard online, I will include your name as a contact for anyone related to the family to contact you. Hi everyone. This is really off topic, but you are all my friends so I thought I would let you know about this as it is becoming a common problem. If I get into trouble for this, please understand my concern. I have twins that are both allergic to peanuts. Leah is the worst. She swells up in the head very fast. Shock is the next phase, and I am trying to avoid that as most don't survive the shock. The problem that we are having is the cross contamination that is going on in the US. If you think about it I know you will see the problem. When you produce a good product, and produce a peanut product in the same plant, you take the chance of cross contamination and someone somewhere will react. If you look at the M&M candies you will see that they have put on the package "produced in a facility that also produces a peanut product" or some such warning. What this has done for us is taken M&M's off of our diets. The warning is nice, but doesn't help since the school is still feeding them M&M's and I can't get them to stop. Nestle has just gone through the same thing and have changed their mind and are not producing a peanut product (we put enough pressure on them). The point of this is Nabisco has just announced that in the US they will be producing a peanut butter Oreo cookie. What this does is take the Oreo cookie out of my cabinets and gives me another battle with the school system. Please, I know this is really off topic, but I have an address for Nabisco that you can send them your comments. Could you please do so and let them know your thought's? The more of us that comment the better. Nabisco in Canada has agreed to not produce a peanut product, perhaps we can get the US to do the same. Here is the address: http://www.kraftapps.com/contact_us/next.asp Please, help make a difference with this problem. Peanut allergy is something that is become very prevalent and is one of the worst allergies to have. As an example, in Canada a senior in high school ate a regular sandwich that was wrapped in plastic but in a bag with peanut butter sandwiches that were also wrapped in plastic. They were on a field trip, and the girl died in her mothers arms. There is nothing funny about this allergy. Sincerely, Renee Waring
Hello Listers My name is Molly Bergh and I live in Esperance Western Australia. Many years ago a friend gave me a postcard that she bought in a south west holiday town. It was of Temple Square, Utah, dated 3rd May 1905. She bought it because she knew I was LDS. It had been sent to a Miss N JARVIE, c/- J T BUCHANAN, 6 108 Walnut St, EAST LIBERTY, PITTSBURG. PA. It was posted in Ogden. There was a message on the front which read. "Delighted to have met, Sorry to part. signed Nellie Alexander. My thought in contacting the list is there just might be a slight chance that someone may be a descendent of the people named in the postcard. If anyone can be of help I would be so grateful regards Molly Bergh Esperance Western Australia

I am searching for information on my g-g-grandfather, JOHN WOOLEVER, who was born in PA in about 1792 (according to an 1850 NY State census), & was married to a MARY (last name unknown) who was born in Westchester, accordind to the same census. I suspect that he was born in Northumberland County, but that is only a guess, based on PA census information that listed quite a few Woolever families residing there from the mid to late 1700's forward. JOHN died in 1863 in Hartsville, Steuben County, NY. I am also interested in information on a DAVID WELLEVER who was born 1/5/1822 in Muncy Hills, PA. His father was also listed as a David on the death certificate, which has his DOD as 5/19/1922 (100 years old!!). DAVID died in Hornell, Steuben County, NY. Any & all information will be greatly appreciated on the subjects, as well as hearing from anyone out there with a Woolever or Wellever connection. THANK YOU!!! Jerry Woolever in Hornell, Steuben County, NY
I am searching for my father's maternal-side family. Helen SEBEK (b. 8/11/1908, PA ?, d. 9/22/1951 MI) was born to Frank SEBEK and Josepha, his wife, both born in Bohemia and lived in Jeanette, PA on R.D. 1. Helen married John ZULCOSKY (ZIOLKOWSKI) in 1929 in Harrison City, PA. Josepha's maiden name may have been BAIRD or CEKAN (sp). Frank was a butcher in Jeanette in 1929. I am unsure how many children he had or really any info except that of my grandmother, Helen. Any info would be appreciated; immigration, birth, deaths, country of origin, living family members, dates of anything, etc. (Can you tell I am up against the old brick wall and desperate??) After hitting the old brick wall 3 years ago, I am back trying to find my family. Specifically, I am searching for Wladislaus (b. 1875) and Josepha (b. nee Skierska 1877) ZIOLKOWSKI. I believe they immigrated in 1902 with one son (Arthur) and may have had a daughter born in Luzerne County around 1904. I know for a fact that a son (John) was born in January 1907 in Luzerne (Kingston) and baptized at St. Hedwig's by Father Anthony Lipinski. {Witnesses for the baptism (godparents?) were Joannes (John) Bubaez and Maria Michneak. The spellings may be way off--its the best I could read on the certificate.} The ZIOLKOWSKI's livedin Greensburg in Westmoreland County for some time and lived in Sewickly Township, Westmoreland County during the 1920 census (spelling changed to ZIULKOWSKY. Parents stated as Aliens with 5 children all born in Pennsylvania). Eventually they moved to Detroit, MI (city directories list the family starting in 1929). The last name was changed to ZULCOSKY sometime before 1929. This will get me started with my father's paternal side. (Maternal side names include SEBEK {Bohemian-Lutherans} and BAIRD in the vicinity of Jeannette, PA---but thats another day of study!). I am trying desperately to backtrack where they immigrated from (country/city of origin besides just Poland), on what ship, at what port, and on what date in 1902. If anyone has information (city directories, official records, family members, etc.), Please let me know so I can get started again. : ) Thanks so much Denise in Michigan RESEARCHING: BEL: Coppiellie, Coppillie, Coupillie, Desmet, Vanhouteghen, Vanhottenghan, Vanbeveren, Pylyser, Goutsmit,Bedert, Missu, Taillient, Leon, Lioen, Lyoen, Pleis, Plifelder, Ignion, Martens, Vandeputte, Begen POL: Ziolkowski, Zulcosky, Skierska, Baird, Sebak, Sebek, Zill, Ciuba, Porado ITA: Lafata, Vitale, Carlodio GER: Brengmann, Brengman

BRUNSWICK TOWNSHIP 1775 - Peter Schmelcher, Collector Tax Lists: Early Tax And Census Lists: Brunswick Twp, Berks (now Schuylkill) Co, PA -----ARNET, Peter I need to find this person! He may have been born PA 1749. His father may have been a William Arnet born 1721-1737 in PA, that removed to SC in 1774, then to NC in 1775. Peter Arnet may have had three brothers, John, David, William. John is said to have been born 1760 VA. Ga Census Rev. Pensioners. Peter is in the early records for Dobbs, and Anson Co., NC. I believe that the father William had Peter, then around 1760 was in VA, had son William 1767, and /or had David as well. I have no birth date for David. This Tax List may be for his father's property after his father had been gone, and then was sold shortly after 1775 where Peter may have then moved to NC and appears in those records of NC. Early Berks Co. PA - where, what records are available? ~Walter

Hi Nate, There seems to be a problem with the ICM-WGW mail list. The web site is counting the messages but non are going through. Could you check? Thanks a bunch. Renee Waring
Let me explain - http://ns1.dicomm.net/~cullars/announcement.htm My William Arnet/Arnett was born 1721 to 1737, and moved from PA to Virginia, and SC, and finally to Anson County, NC. It is said, as told to me, that in 1774 he went to South Carolina. Now, I have found out some about his sons, and I see him in the census of Anson County, NC. His sons are born 1749, 1760, 1763, and one died 1779 in the Battle of Savannah. (Georgia) One of the sons Pension states was born Virginia, so I can only imagine that the two, or three of them were born there also. I am Admin of the Arnett-L @rootsweb, and have not seen anything after my two years online. I have no county of origin, and no access to census, or earlier colonial records. Help! I am also related to the Torberts of Bucks County, PA that wound up in Alabama. ~Walter L. Cullars
I am seeking additional information on Barbara Cathering Skupnich, born Dec. 1908 in Masontown, PA. and she died Feb. 1958. She was the wife of George Frank Kovach. Thank you Robbie Kovach

Tracking a Moses Davison/Davidson b. 1804 in PA and he marries a Elizabeth MOSS b. 1807 (from the MOSS Family out of Chester Co.>Fayette Co.>Washington Co.) ...thru some MOSS data we've learned that Elizabeth had an older sister Mary MOSS b. 1804 and she married a Robert DAVIDSON, the brother of Moses! There are handwritten notes from 1930's that mention Robert is from Mckeesport Twp.(Allengheny Co., PA) We are hoping that this helps us learn about the parents of Moses and Robert DAVISON/DAVIDSON...and would appreciate a heads-up if you can match either the brothers or the sisters into your line! --Sandy in Sacramento, CA-- "sandymento" Descendant of Moses DAVISON (1804 PA -1880 IN) and Elizabeth MOSS (1807 PA -1865 IN) 2nd son: Samuel Harrison DAVISON (1832 PA-1908 IN) 1853 m. www.heritagequest.com has the 1870 census index for every OWENS found in that census year. The CD is $19.95. If you order that, you should be able to find where they went. They have done this for every name found in the 1870 census. Then if you wish you can order the actual Census CD from them that will have all their details. In addition, the LDS has available the entire 1880 census on CD - fully indexed. If I remember correctly that sells for $50.00. Since you find them in Oklahoma, it would be my guess that they were just moving west through IL, IN, IA, MO and some of those states. Good luck. meg Julia Conkey wrote: > > Since I haven't posted my OWENS family in some time, thought I would in case some new OWENS researchers have joined the search. > > My OWENS have got to be one of the worst for 'disappearing' - I have found one cousin, who is descended from Enoch OWENS but she's had less luck than I have. Since I haven't posted my OWENS family in some time, thought I would in case some new OWENS researchers have joined the search. My OWENS have got to be one of the worst for 'disappearing' - I have found one cousin, who is descended from Enoch OWENS but she's had less luck than I have. I am descended from Catherine OWENS and James R. BROOKHART. Here is my OWENS family - I would really like to find a descendent who can fill in the blanks about some of the children of Henry and Leah - also when and where Henry and Leah died and are buried: After 1846, Henry (b. abt. 1797) and Leah (b. abt. 1803) OWENS moved from Beaver Co., PA to Bloom Twp., Columbiana County, OH, with their children. I have the children of Marvin and Mary (WILLIAMS) OWENS but hit a dead-end as to any descendants there (OK>NE). A slight twist to this -a previous Brookhart researcher (1950's) shows Henry OWENS' wife's name as Katrina/Katherine HUBLER (VON HUBLER) - so......who is Leah? Nickname or second wife?
