If anyone knows any site to forward these to, you have my permission to go ahead and do so. Name-age-country of citizenship or subject-last residence-final destination. 1. I have partial index. Orphan's Court Phila.,PA Marriage License Index 1885-1916
    2. Hello all, Elsie RITTENHOUSE through Concetta RIVAVARO. I received it from a cousin that I've been in touch with online. We are both researching RITTERs. In the hopes of helping others I will transcribe this information and eventually get it on Rootsweb. But in the mean time...if you would like to give me your family name that falls in the above listed names...I will see if they are on the index. The last name of the person who they were marying and the year is the info that's available. If I get bogged down with many requests please be patient. I will get to you as quickly as possible. Take care and good luck, Ella

    1. Counties in PA
    2. Hope this info helps! I must tell you, that I searched several sites looking for the names, and they didn't show up on an "Ask Jeeves" site. However, when I went to Maps and Directions on AOL, this is what I found. I hope it helps, and doesn't confuse you more.... > East smethport - McKean County Huston - Somerset County near the West Virginia and Maryland borders. It is just south east of Ohiopyle, which is where Frank Lloyd Wright's famous & quot;Falling Water" home is. This was built for the Kaufman family, and the town of Kaufman is also nearby. I am trying to research a Kaufman line, who I have traced to Butler, PA in the late 1800's. I've been wondering if there is any connection of the families. I'd appreciate any info on this family. New Haven - south of Connelsville, I believe in Greene County? or maybe in Fayette county. I couldn't find S. Brownville, although I found a "Brownsville" in Fayette, Berks and Franklin Counties. Good Luck!

    1. Here are three Bible publishing sites.
    2. Hi everyone. If you have a bible in your possession or you know of one, lets get the information on line. It just takes a moment and might help someone else. Here are 3 different web sites. Send your information to all three at the same time. That way no one site can slap a copyright on the information and there is less chance of some large genealogy group buying up the sites and making the info. inaccessible to people. If you have another site that would like to have this information please let us know. Here are the addresses: www.biblerecords.com http://www.usgennet.org/usa/topic/ancestors/bibles.html The gentleman with this site says he will make a special place for the bible records. I just took a look at this site myself and it is worth a look for genealogical information as well: http://www.recyclegen.com God Bless, Sincerely, Renee L. I have a number of records showing Charlotte was born in 1846 in PA, but not the County. I have seen one spelling as Sharlotte. If you hear of a book sale at a library - Check it out for family bibles with inscriptions. Is there a local used book store - Check it out repeatedly. Do you have a family bible with an inscription - Lets share your information. Then lets put them all on the web.  Is there anyone out there that can start a site to get these on line? 3. I would like to state my opinion about the Olive Tree web site. I find it an invaluable resource because most of the info I need is across the country where I live and I use the internet to access the info. I also help others who have no way to access the info. Thank you very much for the site. Jan Storey ----- Original Message ----- From: cribbswh Sent: Tuesday, 14 May, 2002 15:58 To: PAGENWEB-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: Olive Tree Genealogy Dear Renee, I don't own the Olive Tree site but just want to give my opinion. Sites such as Olive Tree are very massive and very expensive to operate. Many times, webmasters such as the webmaster of Olive Tree and myself as the webmaster of Obituary Central have to resort to joining an affiliate program such as Ancestry in order to help fund the maintenance of the site. Believe me, the revenue doesn't come close to what is needed to keep these sites up. Much of this comes out of our own pockets and the little help from affiliate revenue keeps sites such as Olive Tree FREE for your personal research. The Olive Tree Genealogy site is TOO valuable of a site for a serious researcher to avoid. Just my opinion. 1. My "new" URL. This is the last mass email I swear!
    2. Thank God!! Someone was great enough to inform me that AOL has changed part of it's url from Hometown to user.aol. And the person doesn't work for AOL! AOL never informed me! This is so RUDE! I swear...I will never send another mass email again! I didn't join all these lists to have things not go right. I really want to get my website out there. I think that there are really good links and old pictures to be seen by all who care to look. I might send a mass email if it is a birth or death situation. But only to those that would truly matter. Here's my URL... http://user.aol.com/ella12866/index.html Take care, Ella

    1. Mass email #4. I am so sorry! AOL is having problems! Pages won't load!
    2. I hope this gets out to everyone that I sent the original one out to. Hi all (again), I see that AOL is having difficulties with their webpages. So...after I was up all night putting my site together and after I sent another mass email giving a shout about my site...I feel like Charlie Brown. ARGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! (on my back) Please try my site again later. I really do hope it works. If not...then it's back to the drawing board! thanks, Ella

    1. See old photos and 100+ very useful links on my new and improved web site!
    2. Hi everyone, First let me say thank you for the suggestions with my filing cabinet and the warm welcomes. None of the suggestions for the filing cabinet worked, but I am happy with the info I received from you wonderful people out there. Now... I finally finished enough of my web site to send it out to the masses. I have very old family photos there along with "My Favorite Genealogy Links." A web page with....dah...dah....dah...dah... nothing but genealogy links. Most of them are completely free. Only a few of them have limited access. When it's limited access...you still get enough free info to get you started. Mostly all of the links are links to web pages that could be beneficial for everyone. Other area or name specific sites would include... Philadelphia, PA. sites and sites that cover all of PA. incl. a site: Orphanages in PA. Irish research sites English research sites German research sites American Indian Resources a large EAVES/EVES/EYVES surname site a large RITTER surname site a large KERCHER surname site genealogy sites for children The URL is... http://hometown.aol.com/ella12866/index.html Good luck all, Ella Happy Hunting! Surnames I am researching are: COLEMAN, HARLING and EAVES from Lancashire, England to Phila.,PA KIRCHER, WEIKEL and RITTER/RUTTER from Germany BAIRD and JORDAN from Ireland CHRISTALDI from Italy Any variations? That's ok. I've seen a few. Other names in my family are... CRUMLEY/CROMLEY, HARVEY, MARKER, STEIN, STOLLIE/STOLLEY, TITTERMARY and growing. My family website with lots of links... http://hometown.aol.com/ella12866/index.html I piece together the past so my children won't be as confused as I am.
