Hello - I am researching my Hutchi(n)son family history. James and Alexander emigrated from Northern Ireland (Antrim?) to Philadelphia around 1720, moved westward as the frontier open up, settled in Butler County and working in the oil fields. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Joan Semper Jsemper@earthlink.net
Hello All; I'm looking for information on Peter Shoemaker and Sarah Spinner. I don't know the county. They would have been married about 1840. He was from New York, she Pennsylvania. I do know her mother's name, it was Catherine Spinner. Sarah was in her early 20's when she married and Peter was in his early 40's. He was 16 years older than her. Their first four children were born in PA, John, Abraham, Ellen and Hannah. Thanks to anyone who can help. Vickie in California
Howdy Folks, Pardon me for cross posting but I could sure use your help with two questions. In my quest to find the parents of my James JAQUESS b. 1827 TN I am chasing the folks of the same surname in PA as family records suggest his family was from PA. This surname is also spelled JAQUESS/JAGUISH/JAQUES/JACQUES, etc. 1. Does anyone have any info on the John JAQUISH on the 1800 (as JEGUISH) and 1810 (as JAQUISH) Fayette Co PA census? 2. Is the John JAQUISH in Fayette Co (Redstone TWP, Brownsville) related to the JAQUESS who are in Luzerne Co? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Eldon
Hello, Listers... Here's hoping everyone is well. I've hit a dead end. There is a George BRANDNER listed as an executor and a witness to a will made by a SNIDER/SNYDER circa 1823. My 3ggrandfather is John BRANTNER (same family, different spelling) who was born in 1801, Montgomery Twnshp. John married Susan UNKNOWN, born in the same township in 1810. They married in 1829. Is anyone following this family or have any information concerning it? The SNYDERs were from Washington County, MD and I suspect that George BRANDNER may have been from the same area as well. Any help from the SNYDER researchers? Thank you, Pamela Brantner Forsberg Pittsburgh Genealogy... Collecting dead relatives and occasionally a live cousin...well, maybe!

As well as the surnames added today, Surnames A & B are online for all to use freely. I will be adding new surname letters as they are ready to go online. You can begin your search at Surnames A at http://naturalizationrecords.com/usa/passports1829- 87a.shtml This URL may wrap to 2 lines. Hello all researchers. At Mother Cumberland, Reunion 2003, we will be having a MESSAGE BOARD. Anyone is welcome to submit a message to be posted on the message board. We have set aside one entire wall to post these messages from researchers whose ancestors were in Cumberland County, PA or any of the counties who trace their parentage to Cumberland County (over 20 counties were formed from the land that was once either part of Cumberland County or near Cumberland County, PA.) We will post these in the registration area so they will hopefully be seen by most who attend the reunion. This is something different than the Surname Registry, which will be a printed book. If you want to submit a message for the board, please ...... 1. Limit your message about your early Pennsylvania ancestor to one page for each surname or family. 2. Please put either your name and address or e-mail address on the top of the page along with the surname(s)-of-interest. (People will want to know how to reach you.) 3. Please put the surname(s) in bold print or highlight them so that others can easily see which messages pertain to their families. 4. It is fine to submit a family group sheet, pedigree chart, copies of photos, or whatever you think will enable others to "find" you as a "new" cousin. (Please DO NOT submit any originals.) 5. No Message Board entries will be returned to their submitters. They will be donated to the Cumberland County Historical Society following the reunion. 6. There is no cost to submit entries for the Message Board. This is a free service the reunion committee is offering to help as many as possible to find clues to their loved ones who walked this way so long ago. 7. Submissions for the Message Board must be received at the address below by July 1, 2003. 8. Please mail your Message Board entry to: Donna Cuillard Reunion 2003-Message Board 6497 Dowel Dr. #1 Simi Valley, CA 93063

Hello Everyone: I have added over 2,000 Colonial Ancestors to the 1600s Ancestor Data Base with more to come. The total is now over 26,500 and most all are proven Ancestors of descendants living today. I have also added several National Societies who have proven many of these Ancestors. Also at this time a few new respected Reference works that contain hundreds of sources including some of the early colonists who have Royal Blood lines. The 1600s Ancestor Data Base should be a big help for those of you trying to prove your early lines. You will find the 1600s Ancestor Data Base at: http://www.firstfamilies.org/db/ While there be sure to read the INFORMATION & HELP page so you understand the codes that I have used and how to best use them. Hi, I live in Scotland. I'm searching for my father Gale or Gayle Robinson. Born circa 1915, He was raised in an orphanage somewhere in Pennsylvania. He became a miner then enlisted. Unfortunately I do not know his home town or country. Is there a special census which covered the orphanages in Pennsylvania during the 1920/1930 censuses which might help me. Any help is greatly appreciated. Kindest regards, john_wastle@talk21.com
