DNA can really assist greatly with traditional genealogical research! :-) Keep in mind for those of you who still have brick walls - there may have been non-paternity events that you are unaware of. If a male Page (with various spellings) was adopted into the Page family and used the Page name, passed the Page name onto his descendants, the name remains the same but the genetic connection to the Page family does not exist. Also, if a male child of a Page man was actually the result of a non-Page union, the Page man never knew of this, and this child was raised as a genetic Page, the genetic connection to the Page family does not exist. We all hope that our ancestors are who we think they are. However, when we get very different results via DNA analysis we need to think outside the box. Not all of our ancestors were as "prim and proper" as we assume they may have been. Food for thought...
