Major William Page, b. 2Jan1764, Page's Point, Prince William Parish, SC-d.12Jan1827 married Hannah Timmons, b.29May1759, Prince William Par, SC-d.29Sep1826. Maj Page parents were Thomas Page, b.1725-d.17Apr1780 mar Eleanor Holden on 25Sep1749, Beaufort, SC. When father Thomas Page (who was a loyalist) died, his son William Page, b. 1764, joined Francis Marion to fight the British. As a result the Tories, burnt the house at Page's Point. After the war William moved to Ga and 1804 purchased land on St. Simmons island which he named "Retreat" and it grew to over 2000 acres. in 1808 he became Major Page in 7th batt of Glynn Co, Militia. His daug Anna Matilda, b. 1802-d.1764 married Thomas Butler King.
