I find family photos lost in antique shops or for sale to the highest bidder on ebay. I think this is sad, so I decided to do something about it. So I bought every family photo that I can find with a surname on it and set up a website so that the descendants of these people can reclaim their lost loved ones. My work on this project is charity not commercial in nature. I list all of the photos on my website so that descendants can purchase the original photo. I recently purchased an 1865 embossed leather album that has lots of identified family photos. It appears to have belonged to Charles Monroe Giddings who was born in 1852 in Nunda, Livingston, New York and died in 1937 in the same town. He married Mary Louisa Page who was born about 1847 and died Dec 4,1920 both in Nunda, Livingston, New York. She was the daughter of Albert Page and Abigail Hanford. Charles and Mary's children were:Blanche 1878, Anna Gail 1879, Maude 1880, Anna 1882. So the Sinclair, Page and Giddings families of Nunda and Batavia, NY are widely represented. Most of the people in the photos are identified by writing on the album pages. Some pages have additional genealogy information such as names of people's children, etc. The people in the photos are identified as follows: Uncle Ed Page, son of Albert Page[Born 31 Mar 1800 in Paris(marshall), Oneida, New York/Died:22 Aug 1876 in Nunda, Livingston, New York/Son of Eli Page, a farmer of Freehold, Greene Co., New York and Sarah White who was born 27 MAR 1771]; Uncle John Page; Deacon Albert Page and his 3rd wife[Eliza Ann Weeks who was born on 14 Jul 1812 in Remsen, Oneida, New York and died on 19 Apr 1895 in Nunda, Livingston, New York]; Carrie M. Page Sinclair[ Born: 1856 in Nunda, Livingston, New York to Hermon D. Page and Margaret R. Consalus] and her husband, Hector Sinclair [Born:Abt. 1852 in Nunda, Livingston, New York. They were married 2 Oct 1875 in Livingston, New York]; Page Sinclair (a baby); Anna Gail Giddings [who was born on 3 Nov 1879 in Nunda, Livingstone Co., NY and died 19 Jun 1956 in Morristown, Morris Co., NY. She was Charles and Mary Giddings daughter] and her husband [William Walter Boyd who she married on 15 Apr 1908. He was born on 19 Oct 1869 in Hornell, Steuben Co., NY and died 27 Dec 1953 in Flordia. He was the son of Daniel Boyd and Jennie White], Andrew Giddings (Dad's brother); Herman Page [was born on 10 Dec 1828 and died in Nov 1890 both in Nunda, Livingston, New York. He married twice. First to Margaret R. Not all of the people in the pictures are identified. Two of the photos are from Charlotte, MI; the others are from Nunda and Batavia, NY.
