Hello all, Resubscribing to see what's happening. George W. PAGE [MD] advises me that there has been some activity on my line, which encapsulated below [from my post to George]: "Our line comes [supposedly] through John, who married Faith DUNSTER (niece of Henry, first president of Harvard College). John was born in England in 1629, but came to America that same year as an infant immigrant. He and Faith had several children, our line coming from Samuel (1672 Groton, MA - 1747), who married (2) Sarah LAWRENCE. This being his second marriage accounts for the fairly late dates of the births of his second batch of children, our line coming through Thomas, born 1730 in Lunenburg, MA. This Thomas married (2) Mary KNIGHT, and our line descends through Peter, born 1768 in Leominster, MA. He married Hannah BROOKS. An interesting aside about Peter: "Note: He lived in Dewey's Gore, Vermont at the time of the 1790 census but moved to Hardwick, Vermont in 1792. He wore snowshoes and hauled his family, a wife and three children over the snow on a hand sled. He made the first clearing in the town and was a pioneer settler there. He may have served in the Revolution in the Skeensborough Vermont Volunteers. (Ref: History and Genealogy of the Page Family-C. Page, pgs 64-89; History of the Page Family- G. Page;)". Peter's son Levi was born in Hardwick, VT but became one of the first settlers of the Susquehanna County, PA wilderness in 1814. Levi married Priscilla INGALLS, and they had quite a few children. Their son Elihu (1813 - 1898; born in Hardwick before they moved to PA) married Eunice HILL, a supposed Mayflower descendant. Their son Charles Stanley, born 1838, was [cousin] George and my great-grandfather, father to Harry Logan born in 1887. Charles Stanley's (third) wife was Sarah WHITMARSH, from England, and George and his father's (middle) namesake. That's it in a nutshell. Although the records from which this genealogy is derived seem unclear about some of these generational links, I feel confident enough to call this our "official" genealogy. I'd be glad to hear of any opposing views or alternative theories." George tells me that there "has been information on the Page list recently about your John Page's ancestry. It corrects info erroneously written by CN Page in 1912 and 1917." I would be VERY interested in hearing about these errata, as well as any other information on this line.
