You will learn what it is and isn't, how it works, and the exciting potential for the future. We have all heard about the use of DNA testing for establishing paternity, for helping convict criminals, for identifying remains of unknown American servicemen, and to help find causes and cures for diseases. Perhaps you have also heard about the attempt to determine whether Thomas Jefferson fathered children by his slave Sally Hemings, and tests on "Cheddar Man", the 9,000-year-old skeleton found in Cheddar, England, found to have a relative still living in Cheddar. Now, when you are stumped by lack of documentation, you can prove by DNA analysis whether you are related to someone else with the same surname and known ancestry.
