Hi fellow Page researchers -- Here's my story. Unfortunately, the only Page relations I know of (my father and my grandparents) are all deceased. My father and mother were divorced while I was an infant so I never actually met any of the three. Naturally, I am seeking more information on them, and their relatives so I can fill out the branches on the family tree I am doing for our kids (and their kids!). Here's what I know: My father -- Robert Gray Page, born March 7, 1927 in Luxor, Westmoreland County, PA. Robert lived in Greensburg and was a government employee (surveyor) with the Army Corps of Engineers. (At least he worked on some flood control projects with the ACE.) He married my mother, Margaret M. Deemer, on September 9, 1956 in Brookville, PA. They were divorced in 1960, and he moved to Texas. I found out later that he died in Houston in 1976. What I don't know are things like -- did he have any siblings? Did he ever marry again? Cause of death? Etc. etc. My grandfather -- Jay E. Page, born ?? in South Greensburg, Westmoreland County, PA. Jay was a farmer. He married my grandmother, Irene Elizabeth Gray, on ????. They had at least one child in Luxor, PA. I believe Jay lived his entire life in Westmoreland County, PA. Jay died prior to 1956. I have been unable to find him in typical places like SSDI. Westmoreland County does not have a record of their marriage license. Siblings? Parents? Date of death? Cause of Death? Burial Place? My grandmother -- Irene Elizabeth Gray, born ??? in Mt. Pleasant, Westmoreland County, PA. I believe Irene died AFTER 1960. I cannot specifically identify Irene in the SSDI. There are several people listed with this name, but I cannot determine which, if any, are her. Siblings? Parents? Date of death? Cause of Death? Burial Place? My next step is writing to the Grays that live in the Greensburg area to see if anyone knows of Irene; this may lead me to more info on Jay's family. I would like to see if I can find them in the census of 1920 or 1900 even, but I am limited to what I can find on line since I am handicapped.
