I am looking for more information on my Reuben PAGE, b. abt. 1824 (where is unknown), d. 23 April 1903 in Linden Hall, Centre County, PA. He married Mary KUHN, b. 31 May 1833 in Boalsburg, Centre County, PA, d. 25 Feb 1924 in Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA, on 04 Oct 1849 in Patton Twp, PA. I know their 5 children, Anna Elizabeth (or Eliza), b.23 Sep 1866, Josh, Minnie, George, and Joseph who was b. 03 Mar 1869. Beyond that, I know little else. Hi David, The name Ruben Page is not familiar to me. My page family has name like: Thomas, Joseph, Richard, Nancy, James, William, Arthur, and Frank. There are no Ruben's in the PA census index for the years 1800 through 1840. I found a Ruben Page on the 1850 census index for PA. He is in Center Co. Harris Twp. P. 103. (would have to look up the roll#.) This census would tell you what state Ruben was born in., and his wife as well. If any of the 5 children were under 10 in 1880 you might be able to find them on the 1880 soundex (otherwise you would have to look through the whole county which is not indexed.) The 1800 would also tell you where Ruben was born and where Ruben's father and mother were born. (same info. for other family members as well.) You might also have luck on the 1900, for Ruben and 1910 and 1920 for Mary. They are indexed and easy to use. Have you tried to get the death record for Ruben and Mary? Since they died in the 20th century, and you know where they died the records should be easy to obtain. The death record should have the name of Ruben's parents, as long as the informant knew the names. Hope this helps. I will keep an eye out for your family members, but I am mostly researching in Western PA.
