Hello, My grandfather, Blinn Stevens Page and his siblings (William, George Reuben, Pauline Stevens and Lowell Briggs) were all born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA between 1889 and 1904. Their parents are George Stevens Page (b. 1864, Eagleswood, NJ; d. 1941, Pittsburgh) and Delilla Blinn Horn (b. Weatherly, PA, 1865; d. Pittsburgh, 1956). Blinn's first wife (my grandmother) was Minnie Carlotta Splane, (b. 1891, Oil City, Venango Co., PA; d. 1926, Oil City). I'd love to find other people researching this family. Hello Barbara, I don't think we are related, but I do have some information for you. It is always exciting to find information about one's family, but it is also exciting to find information for others. You may already have this information, but I have an abstract from your grandparent's marriage license. If you already have this information I won't duplicate it, but if you don't I will transcribe what I have. I also have an abstract of her obituary, with a note that she was buried in the Grove Hill Cemetery. My Grandfather, Frank (Francis) Albert Page was born in Cherry Run, near Oil City, Venango Co, PA. in 1873. His father is Thomas P. Page b.abt. 1837 PA (probably Warren County.) His Mother is Elizabeth Pilling, b. abt. 1843 PA. Frank has brothers William born abt. 1867, PA. James, and Arti, all born PA My grandfather ran away from home in PA as a teenager and ended up in Rochester NY. I don't know what brought him there, and he didn't tell anyone anything much about his family, and seemed to want to sever his roots. My Page family has some NY and maybe CT roots, but I really can't find out at this point where they were before PA. Thomas P. Page's father was Joseph L. Page and I think Joseph's father was Thomas J. Page who I found out recently has a long history in Warren County, PA. I suspect my great-grandfather went to Oil City to try and cash in on the oil rush, but that was a boom/bust situation and he was in McKean County by 1880. At that point I have lost the family until I pick up my grandfather in Rochester. I have some historical information on Venango County, but nothing specific to the Pages. I remembered your grandparent's marriage record because another name I am searching is Spillane (very close to Splane), but I am back in Ireland with that one. If I can help further let me know. You may already know the Venengo Co. web site is: http://www.rootsweb.com/~pavenang/ Good luck with your searching, Susan Page Howland >Hello, > >My grandfather, Blinn Stevens Page and his siblings (William, George Reuben, >Pauline Stevens and Lowell Briggs) were all born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny >Co., PA between 1889 and 1904.
