    1. Re: [PAGE] Pennsylvania PAGES
    2. The Howlands
    3. Hi Steve, My Pennsylvania Page Family looks like this: My great-grandfather was: Thomas P. Page (b. abt. 1838 probably Warren CO PA.) He had a brother Richard P. Page, and a sister Nancy. Thomas then shows up on the tax rolls in Venango County, PA from 1870 to 1879. Thomas P. Page married to Elizabeth Pilling (b. abt. 1843, PA). Births of their children: (from 1870 Venango CO PA and 1880 McKean CO PA census records) James Page 1865 William Page 1867 Frank (Francis) Page 1873 (Jan 2, my grandfather) Arthur Page 1875 I have located the whole family on the 1880 Census in McKean County, PA, but I can not find them after that time. I have just recently located Thomas P. Page's Parents on the 1850 census, Warren CO, PA. It looks like this: Joseph Page 39 Debra 37 Nancy 7 Thomas P. 13 Richard 10 Sarah J. Patterson 18 I found Joseph L. with the same family profile as the 1850, on the 1840 census in Warren County, PA. Sometimes I have Joseph as being born in NY and other times in PA. Thomas and siblings all born in PA. At this point I suspect that Joseph L.'s father was Thomas J. Page, but I haven't proven that yet. I have few living PAGE relatives and at this point I know more about our ancestors that anyone else. I have had to work mostly from census records, as I have not been able to locate vital records for any but my grandfather Frank. Because there is such a wide gap in generations (I was born in 1951 and my grandfather was born in 1873, I am immediately back before vital records were recorded officially in PA. My PAGE branch is dwindling; the only male left is my brother, Laird Charles Page (b.1952, NYC, NY) who has a 6 y.o. so, Nicholas Laird Page (b.1994 Fayetteville, AR.) So, to answer your question, I don't know where my PAGE line originated, but I keep working. I keep hoping I will find someone from another branch of my line who can help me out. I keep all my messages in hope that later on I will find a connection. Thanks for writing; you make Australia seem very close! Susan Page Howland in MA.
