Dear Delores, I recently posted on the Sangamon Co, ILL site requesting assistance for an 1840 census look-up for Alexander Page. There has been no response yet. If anyone can do this look-up I would appreciate it, I am in Okinawa Japan and research from here is difficult. The Alexander Page in Franklin Co, we have ruled out. Can follow him in census records. Another Alexander Page has surfaced in a most interesting court case in Shelby Co, ILL in 1839 and does not appear in that county in the 1840 census. Can anyone claim him so we can rule him out also? To refresh memories on Alexander Page, he is also absent from the 1850 Knox Co, ILL census but his wife is Ruthy Ann Clark/Page is listed under her father, along with their youngest children.
