Does anyone have any information on Wilson Page born abt 1780 in NC. I believe he lived in Georgia from 1805-1811. By 1816 he was living in Jones County, Mississippi. From 1835-1847 he lived in Jackson County, Mississippi. In 1850 he is living in Baton Rouge, LA with a James Page. Other names I believe are related (probably his children) to this Wilson Page are Whitson Page, born 1805 GA, Hezekiah Wilson Page, Nathan Page, William Page, Allen Page, Sophia/Sally Page and Thomas Page. My theory is that this Wilson Page may have been related to Jacob Page b1780 VA, died 1846 Mobile, AL. There is also a Robert Smith whose moves match these individuals and who married Thomas Page's widow Elizabeth in 1824 in Jones County, Mississippi. On some family trees, Wilson Page has been confused with Willis Page, born 1806 NC, died 1877 Mobile, AL. Willis Page is the son of the afore mentioned Jacob Page. They were both in Jackson County, Mississippi at the same time, but lived in different areas of the county, although they both lived on adjoining rivers. I am beginning to believe that my ancestor may be the William Page listed in this group. If that is correct, this group somehow fits into Exolheath's branch, as my father, Raymond Page, has been assigned to group P. Other researchers have reported Jacob Page, born 1780 of VA died 1846 Mobile, AL and Elizabeth Pritchett born 1785 NC died 1840 Mobile, AL as the parents of my William Page born 1811 GA died 1870 Jackson County, MS. I have found no evidence to support this claim in extensive documentation I have on Jacob Page. Could Wilson and Jacob have been brothers and William actually be the son of Wilson? William Page's 1856 land claim is almost directly across the Pascagoula River from Wilson Page's 1833-1850 homestead. Ideas are appreciated. Diane Page Ferrer No virus found in this outgoing message.
