    3. Dear fellow PAGE listers I got up this morning in snowy Peterborough (all of half an inch of snow) and saw a reply to a note that I sent to George in response to one that he had posted on the list. His cheery words brought a smile to my sleep induced haze. I thought nothing of the words he used and I certainly took no offence. Then I saw the note from D Cuillard and I couldn't believe my eyes. I am sorry D Cuillard if the phrase George used to me caused you offence. But if you are doing genealogical research you should be prepared to find some very rude words indeed in the historical documents that you will come across. And, if you haven't already joined other lists, allow me to say that you are likely to find that some of them have very fierce arguments, with much personal animosity. This is a very tame list. Now let me say something about George. In the time that I have been on this list (some 18 months) I have found him an extremely knowledgeable researcher of all things PAGE. He has tracked down original sources and shared them with the list. He has helped people put together their family lines. And as far as I know he has done all this freely and without thought that his own research would be helped. I have never met him personally, nor even talked with him by phone. I guess there is a faint possibility that we might be related(!) but, without the DNA tests, I don't know. However, as far as I am concerned, George is an OK guy. Best wishes to all of you statesiders on this inauguration eve. Michael (Peterborough, Cambs, UK)
