Hello George & List, I hope that you do not mind my mentioning it but - please remember that addresses in England are not referred to in the American style. By that I mean that there is no such place as Norfolk County, Suffolk County, Yorkshire County etc. etc. An address should simply state Norfolk, England or (if you insist) the County of Norfolk, England, though this is not used in England today. NEVER,NEVER, Norfolk County, England. As a further point of interest Ormesby is in Yorkshire. There is however, Ormesby Saint Margaret, Norfolk, England, which is near to Caister. Regards, Chris. P.S. In respect of the other ongoing 'thread' - What on earth has happened to everyones sense of humour?
Chris is correct, but generally the reference is to: county Norfolk, county Middlesex, etc., with the word county in lower case. I sometimes use the American and British forms in my messages with no intention of being disrespectful or rude, and hope I won't be flamed for that too! George W.
